Getting ready to order a Remage CBI whats your recommendation.

I have a Remington 700 ADL blind mag action and the stock all ready to go but, now I need to decide what to chamber the new barel in. I will be ordering a Criterion Stainless Match Remage bull barrel roughly 28" from NSS more then likely. I already have the 6-6.5x47L Go NoGo Guages, NSS action wrench with taper lug adapter for Rems and a Wheeler Barrel Vise so, Im ready to rock. This will be for paper punching.
The action originally had a .243 barrel (never shot pencil barrel) and although .243 is a great round I want to go something else as I would like better barrel life.
I have already tried a 6.5x47L to make sure it feeds good from the blind mag follower and it works flawlessly.
Thinking also 6x47L but, dont really want to worry about donuts if they arose.
Kinda on the fence as I already have a good shooting 6.5CM so, very similair to the 6.5x47.
Its just something I will have to decide but, thoughts are appreciated. :)

Sounds like you're invested in the 6x47L. Simple choice with your familiarity in it.

I have a CBI (that sounds exactly like your description) 6BR in an old 40-X stock that I'm currently chasing 300 yard loads with. I chose that chamber for barrel life. Almost went with a dasher and am really interested in the BRX and BRAI.

I was given the 6.5x47-6x47 go nogo guages when I put a barrel on a Rem. action for a friend so, I just happen to have them. That makes it a money saving choice in my opinion.

Would love to go 6BR but, I dont know that it would feed from the blind mag properly. I dont have one to try so, unless I get a dummy round to count it in or out its a mystery. I personally really wouldnt care if it fed from it but, I would like for it atleast to work if I loan it out.
If someone was making follower for blind mag 700s to run the 6br Im done looking imho.

Thanks for the input fellas. :)

my 6XCs fed well from the mag, brass is not hard to find, priced in line with other similar calibers... Ive had very good barrel life shot lots of bullets well in the 105-115gr range.. currently trying out palma brass in it
