Getting Old?

I didn't know that I was gettin that old!!!! 61. ??? I was just mailed a chance to enter a drawing for a FREE CREMATION. It makes me want to step back and think. I don't feel old. I exercise daily and try to eat healthy. I don't drink soda any more. I don't smoke or drink. I feel better than I ever did. I do admit that I tend to forget things a little. When my wife asks me to do something and says I don't have to do it right now........ I do it right now!! For two reasons. If I wait awhile I tend to forget what she asked. The second reason is I don't want to get her mad and I've found that if I get it done right away it is a done issue.
What do you guys think?

im 68 on my 2nd. pacemaker& defib had total hip replacement last aug. i walk 3mi. daily feel half alive but youve got me to thinking i do the same things you do regards shooter63& good luck.

With all the things you "don't" do, are you still living?

Now the real question...If you enter that drawing, how much time do you have to claim your prize?

Yes I'm still living!! I check the obituaries now and then. If I don't see my name there I've come to the conclusion that I'm still alive. I travel with my wife and son, I enjoy accurate shooting and the path to get there, I enjoy raising Peafowl, I love fixing things. My health is great. What more do I need?
No, I am not entering the drawing. F*** em!!!!!

Makers Mark works good .. a stiff drink everyday and a positive can do attitude is the fountain of youth.. didn't need any hormones..

I just turned 64.

One evening was was relaxing having a beer at the local gin mill when a cute little knockout came walking by.

I puffed out my chest, sucked in my gut and asked "Were have you been all my life"?

She thought for a few seconds, "Well, for most of it I don't think I was even alive"!

I'm 65 and consider myself to be healthy. 6' 198#, eat what I want, don't have a clue what my cholesterol is. My back and neck don't like the prone position at all. And I wish my eyesight was better. I had a RK 30 years ago in my right eye. And now it is worse than my left eye - and I'm right handed.

The best thing that you can do at our age is keep busy, I feel better at 63 than when I was 50. I started playing softball after a 30 year layoff for "fun" & now play 3 different leagues. Had to cut out the 60+ league, those guys were just to damn old ;) :D

I almost never post a thing, but I couldn't resist this one. Where can I get a 'chance' on that cremation raffle; I'd like to put someone's name in the URN.
:D

I get up around 5 AM have a cup of coffie and a cig then go for a walk at the community center. I v got a bum knee an at times my hip joints hurt . But at 77 years old the old body isent going big game hunting in the high country or fishing the trout streams. I now collect and repair pellet rifles , go to auctions, flee markets ,and guarge sales to look for fishing, hunting , and camping eguipment. I have three great grand sons the oldest of which is in the Scouts. The boys will have some good equipment as they need it. Their grand father has started showing the oldest how to shoot a BB gun and this summer I ll see if he can handle a pump up pellet rifle. My main shooting is at prairie dogs and plan on getting a CZ 17 Hornet and a Winchester 17 Super Mag rimfire when they become available. I cant hunt, fish, and camp like I did a few years ago but I ll keep finding someting to do.

I am almost 61 and have had 7 lumbar surgeries,3 knee,a couple of hernias, carpal tunnel both hands, and both elbows have had repairs done to tendons. I am up everyday at 5 a.m. have my coffee along with a pipe full of cherry blend and read this plus one other forum then head off to the gym.
I am in pain from the hips to my feet 24/7 but refuse to take the pain killers. I still do my own lawn care, take care of our pool and do my own snow removal and my neighbors. I also go to the range every Sunday regardless of the weather.
Am I older than I should be feeling YOU BETCHA, but it sure beats the alternative and as long as I am looking at the green side of the grass I figure I'm ahead.
All we can do is play the cards we are dealt and make the most of life, count your blessings, good wife your children and grand kids and your friends. The rest is just part of life.

Good morning brother geezers, I just turned 61,I don`t do as much as I used to because someone shortened the days.I get up at 5am, coffee in hand, I take the dogs out and then return to read the Bible for a few minutes and check the forum.I retired 3 yrs. ago after working as a lineman for 39 yrs. got bored and went to Lowe`s now I wear a red vest.I work fulltime and enjoy it.I do think the key to all this is don`t sit down and wait to die.Keep moving and refuse to give up.Be proud of what you have and don`t dwell on what you had.As for various aches and pains,I believe that is GODS way to let you know are still above the dirt.
Have a great day,let`s go get`em
Jeff
