German SIG plant closing...

I had a late '80's/early '90's German P226 and it was totally different, quality wise, from a new one I had the chance to shoot a few months back. That, combined with 2 friend's horrible CS experiences with them, has me out of the market for a new one.

I sent my kimber gold combat back to the factory 3 times. Had no satisfaction from remington on a 700. Browning, same thing. I bought a Tikka, no problems. Bought a couple more kimbers, no problem. Buying Today is a crap shoot in the firearms market. My most recent buy is a kimber Micro 9 in 9mm. Handy to conceal & carry, looks good, hard to shoot well. I have to practice a lot. It had a 8 lbs trigger pull. I bought a $50 trigger kit, 20 lbs recoil spring, $50 aggressive hand grips. Installed skate board tape of the front back strap. Their 'checkering' was for amusement only. It's ok for now.
I got a Walther Creed in 9mm. This has to be the most underrated pistol ever. Low recoil, crazy accurate & light weight. And for $320! And Not one problem.
My biggest aggravation is the time and $$ spent on returning to factory. I spent $$ on a trigger job on my browning bar, only to have it replaced by their factory nazis. Shipping $$. The lack of customer service is brutal. Don't get me started on gunsmiths when they 'estimate' how long they will take to get you work done. You might as well 'lone' a hooker $1000, because she will 'promise you' to pay you back next week!

Such a shame. I had an early German made sig 516 which I just loved. It was totally reliable, never skipped a beat.

Europe is in total freefall. Thanks Merkel for opening the floodgates.

Y'all DO UNDERSTAND that the EU is a socialist/Muslim run conglomerate.
Yes it is. And it "IS" coming to the States as well.

I was in Germany last summer, all you see is Muslims.
My friend was in Englad, he said they saw VERY few English man.

Sad to hear about Sigs plant closing.
The German pistols are the most accurate semi automatics I have.
I was stationed in Stuttgart (Eslingen) in the late 70s. Even at that time the influx of foreigners was evident and held in disdain by the locals(yes even Americans) though the younger generations didn't seem as bothered.

This is awful. 1751 was a long time ago true history being smashed in the name of LEFTY emotions.
The 1751 bit is JP Sauer. The original firearms company of all companies that still produces top rack firearms, (and some cheapies for US market). Sig-Sauer is another company formed originally so it could make some swiss invented weapons in germany (P210) that couldnt be made in Switzerland due to its laws. Sig went 'international' with US production facilities and shot itself in the foot because this excluded it from being able to tender 'made in EU' govt purchases which is the bulk of production over there. So they are now going to be an 'American' company with a European label, or something like that. Now Sigs will be assembled by Hispanics instead of Muslims. Thanks to Putin, even the lefties over there and wanting to boost production of firearms. Some are probably taking classes as I write.
