GEMPRO 250 Scale problems

Gents:

I am having some problems with a recently purchased GEMPRO 250 scale.

I received it as a birthday gift from my wife last June and used it to reload some 308 rounds with it last month. It worked grate and helped on the accuracy of my reloads and speed up the process compared to the old beam. I really like it.

This week I got it out again to do my reloading and found that the scale starts off at 0.000g when I hit TARE and then starts to count down very slowly and will continue with no weight on it.

I have re calibrated it as per the users manual and the MYWIGHT web site video but it still keeps counting down. I have it in an area that has no A.C. wind on it, gave it time to worm up - 30 min, cut it off and back on the next day, blew on the pan to see if any items or grains are stuck under the main pan. It has not been dropped or abused as I am the only one to use it and I have been careful with it so far.

Short of boxing it up and sending it back in what an I missing?

The word on the net is that MYWEIGHT is slow to poor on support. I attempted to send them an e-mail today for help but the MYWEIGHT support system kicks you out when you attempt to contact them. They ask that you not call but to use their e-mail so go figure.

Thank you.

I recently had the same problem with drifting positive and negative from TARE. Try this. Unscrew and remove the weighing disk and the square silver cover. This will expose the inside of the scale. Use compressed air to aggressively blow out the exposed cavity. Reinstall the cover and weighing disk. When I did this I noticed a small particle fly out of the cavity. My unit now works perfectly. Hope this will work for you.

The new people are always resurrecting zombie threads, on all forums, seems like.
They can't help it I guess, but I'm sure they don't mean any harm.

If your scale slowly continues to "count down" (ie 0.00, -0.02, -0.04 etc) and doesn't "bounce around" . . . it's not being caused by RF noise or static electricity. Return it if possible.
