Garmin chrono update

Thanks for the heads up.

I don't have a reason to record every shot every match unless I'm just wanting to play with it.

I have had one since they first came out. I don’t have a lot to say about it, other than it just works, every time.

In what ways is it far superior to the LabRadar LX and AndiScan A3?

I have been seeing way too many people lately that are having issues with these not picking up shots. I think I am going to wait a little while longer before I decide to get one. Maybe that is the reason for the update
This is the first time I have heard anyone with problems using a Xero. I have been using since its release and haven’t. Missed a shot. about 10 other guys on my range are using it with the same results. Buy with confidence, it is the best thing out there. Garmin has set the standard and as a company; it is the most reliable out there.

My Andiscan was an absolute nightmare. The original Labrader (I have owned two) was not much better.
I was spending so much time trying to make sure anything was going to read out that I wasn't able to pay attention to the real task-shooting!
The Garmin has been 100% on point for me every time. Breaks (radial and side port) on my rifle and others on the line (all magnums), 300 Norma, 338LM, fifteen other rifles on benches at same time, 22LR suppressed and the only time it didn't work was when I set the wrong velocity range for some 22LR rounds.
100% user error!
If mine stopped working tomorrow I would be ordering another to replace it.
No other Chronograph has been this functional, especially in this small a package.

The user interface alone speaks volumes.

Not to mention Garmin backing it as MAJOR corporation. I had a labradar and thought for the longest time that i wasnt going to get a garmin because its not anymore accurate. After one day at the range when i couldnt get my labradar to pick up a shot after firing about 8 ruining my ladder test is said it was time to upgrade. I cant speak for the Andiscan because havent had one but once again you dont see them and they dont have the support of a major company. As for the LX I feel like alot of people got tired of the problems with the OG labradar and the support. Plus the forum function of the LX isnt close to the Garmin.

Theres a reason you basically only see Garmins

Had mine for a year now, never missed a shot and I have placed it in many different locations around the rifle bore axis. Same with pistol, never missed.

My Andiscan worked great and Jan was a great guy to deal with. The user interface was a bit complicated and that is the sole reason I moved to the Garmin. If Garmin went out of business I would most likely go back to the Andiscan. Labradar will never see my bench again.

Wow. I am a range officer. I've seen over a hundred of them and they all worked flawlessly.

Gotta be driver error. The Garmin is basically flawless.

My Garmin shows me clearly when I have to clean barrels on my BR rifles. Cartridge is 6 BRA. Bartlein barrels. BOTH Varget and Shooters' World Presicion.

If I start out in the low 2900 fps it will speed up to maybe maybe 2950 after 3-5 rounds. Then I get a good impact at 600 yards on the sighter plate with velocities around 2950-60 fps. First two targets are pretty good.

Full of vim and vigor, I must do a through cleaning before continuing. Velocities are now over 3,000 fps EVERY time. Even get hard bolt lift. Thick gooey tar comes out of the barrels and quality shooting is over. The Garmin is just wonderful as it shows me when the mess is starting. I cannot pass maybe 30 rds. without this happening.

It does this on every barrel I have ever used.

I have only ever missed shots with mine when playing around and shooting in quick succession. (our range doesn't allow "rapid fire" so I use quick succession.) :)

Otherwise flawless.

I bought it and thought I was wasting money, as I'm not really a competitive shooter but just like to shoot nice groups. But the Xero C1 truly is a wonder machine. I've seen and played with the Labradars and as they stand, I wouldn't pay 50 bucks for one unless it were just to flip it online.

I have shot over 1k rounds past mine and It missed it's 1st shot ever yesterday. I had it pretty far back though, so placement wasn't ideal.

Far cry from my old labradar which would get 70-80% of the shots no matter what I tried and would alway drop the app.

For anyone that wants to reload, this is one of the best tools you could get. Add an auto trickler and you can literally buy your time back.
