Gamin Xero C1 - Session Not Uploaded to Shotview

From a recent shoot I have 6 sessions which did not upload to the Shotview app. The device is connected and sync'ed. Strange!

I re-installed Shotview and tested with a short session and it uploaded as normal.

Any suggestions how to force an upload of the 6 sessions missed? I'm thinking no way, but maybe.

Side Note: I often giggle at post made on the weekend when the best answer would come from the manufacturer or suppliers but they are closed until Monday, so now I get to giggle at myself!!

I spoke with Nick in support. He logged and submitted the issue. He doesn't show any other occurrence of this issue being reported. He also confirmed, as I had surmised, there is currently no method for uploading a session to the app that has been previously uploaded.

When the app uploads, the C1 places a flag in the session on the C1 indicating the session has been uploaded. This way the app knows when it connects not to upload a session that has already been uploaded. This is common method used in programming. However, they haven't as yet built in a option to unflag the session.

Nick also mentioned that other customers have requested a means to unflag the session, but has no ability to see what development is or is not considering as a future update feature.

The issue I had was, not uploading the C1 session data to the ShotView app. The Garmin Cloud is for storing session data that has been uploaded. It's a nice feature for those who like a storage option.

I would prefer a storage option that allowed using device storage as well as data transfer to other devices like my desktop.

So, Months later, and the problem has still not been resolved. Just had 2 sessions on one day that did not sync. Contacted Garmin support and this is the response:

I cannot guarantee that these sessions will ever sync over but there is a workaround that we have discovered for sessions that have not synced to the app that has been able to work for some customers.
The only way we have found this to work is by deleting a shot from the shot list from that session. This essentially tricks the device into thinking it is a new session that has not been synced and will sync that session over to the app. I know it is not ideal to lose a shot from those sessions, but so far this is the only work around we have discovered.

The only time I have seen that sessions will be stuck on the C1 and not sync over to the app is if there is a disconnect between the C1 and the ShotView app. For example if the sessions are recorded before pairing the unit to the app for the first time or if you open the ShotView app and are prompted to sign in and the device is showing as disconnected and has to be removed from the app and the phones Bluetooth settings before pairing it again. To prevent this from happening, I suggest opening the ShotView app and ensuring you are logged in and the C1 is showing connected before turning your phone off and recording your sessions for the day.

I did try their delete a shot trick and it still did not sync. Also, the only way he saw it happening is also not correct, because none of that happened in my case.

It happened to me yesterday. I'm resetting my android phone, just to see if that fixes the problem - kinda doubt it, but worth a try.

Well, that didn't work.

I use my buddies Xero, Sometimes I have had an issue getting the xero to even connect to the app. That was 1 or 2 x. This past Saturday he was having the same issue. I had not connected but wonder if I was the last user, did it still see me as a Bluetooth connection. I did not have the app open on my iphoneXR.
It usually just works.

Everything worked perfectly, every time, prior to the 3.30 update. Now I'm on 3.32 and it doesn't miss shots anymore but I do have the sync problem.
