In 1992 I bought this place and never in my wildest dreams did I imagine this. To sit back and watch all of our friends enjoying what CA has become has brought a tear of joy to my eyes.

Breaking News the 2018 Georgia Long Range Championship will be sponsored by Night Force Optics . It is with great pleasure to be able to do this in Night Forces home state and have the support coming from a company that truly supports our sport .
Here is the format for the long tang championship . Will be 4 targets in both LG and HG in the 600 yard match and 2 targets from both HG and LG in the 1000 yard shoot off targets will not count as part of the agg for the Long Range Championship.
If everything goes as planed I hear we will be eating some of Georgia’s best BBQ chicken for lunch and then we will have the first 1000 yard turkey shoot in cool acres history you get 1 sighter shot and 3 shots on turkey target lowest score wins . We are going to have fun if nothing else. Did I mention the fact that The GA Long Range Championship is being sponsored by Night Force !!!!

The Florida benchrest retirement center is send us some aces . Bart will proably bring Karma and Kim . The Georgia peaches and tator family are sure to be ready . Ray The Man Lowman is already loaded and ready he thinks the Matthews and there band of misfits are sure to show . Anyone else that would like to come let me know I can give you a name you will like or maybe not but I will give you a name LOL. I hope we go to a benchrest tournament and a party starts up. Oh I most forgot Ronnie if you see Jim tell him to come on and we may rub some luck on him or it may not be luck . See y’all soon . Just got confirmation that Hornady will be sending a prize package as well. Looks like we going to have a few prizes as well as the long range turkey shoot winner could win some pretty good cash and we all like cash .
I have heard some concerns on possible limit on number of shooter so I will clear that up right now if we have over 150 shooters we will shoot in the dark but I will not turn anyone away . I don’t think we would be in the dark because the CA Target Crew is 2nd to none our computer and stat lady is fast a lighting especially when Eric wants to act like he is in charge LOL Eric you know we love ya . In all seriousness we will be fine oh did I mention we are going to have a great time because if we don’t do anything else that will happen. If ya scared come on anyway will will make fun of you just like we do Ray.

We know everyone that comes will have a great time. Where else can you go shoot, have a wonderful time and fellowship, eat and make new friends. Also maybe get some ice cream. So come on down to Cool Acres Sporting Camp and lets see who is the best. Good Luck to all.

Anyone needing a room in Georgia for the state championship let me know ASAP had a couple guys that have had to change plans that have rooms that they will have to cancel or change name over.
