Fun Day With a Picuda

Took a bunch of PD's today in a town that needs some control according to the rancher. IMO roving with a 22 rimfire is the best system for PD control that there is except for poison I guess. These were with Armscor 36 gr. HV HPs that I like for bargain ammo. Out to 150ish it's very efficient, and the PD in the foreground was actually taken at 250 on the 3rd shot. Older model PFI 3-9X Rapid Reticle is a great optic for this kinda' app. Super efficient and quickly applied. 250 was 19 MOA reticle(200 yds.) + 10 turreted--

super low profile tgt. turret--

Nice shooting ss. That's the second picture I've seen this week of a pair of Leicas stuck lens down in the gravel. They must have a really good coating.

Thanks Aaron/guys.
That's OK Brian--I check to be sure dirt's not touching glass.
Picuda was the pistol version of the Barracuda that Magnum Research is well known for. The Charger killed it though. Fine SA silhouette/varmint style pistol though.
All shots sitting off old style Harris using a modified soft-sided stadium seat for back support.
.1 BC at 1225 mv was dead-on-the-nose to 250. Reticle was very close if not also dead on.

One other thing I've noticed is the terminal effect is so much more dramatic with the hollow points relative to solids even at a conservative 1200 fps mv. I thought that the lower velocities of 22's would negate the HP design, but it does work quite well. Every connection was followed by a dramatic-sounding meat report. That's handy for not only auditory gratification but also hit confirmation on level ground. Leica was very good at giving accurate readings and I always use the lower LED horizontal part of the box as my reference. I actually tested it on a suspended target years ago when I originally purchased the BRF.
