This IMR had a lightly glued white seal on it. That’s disappointing to hear that Hodgon is doing that. SurprisingYea it looks correct and if you didn’t know Hodgdon no longer seals the bottle anymore, just the seal in the cap.
Just opened a pound of 4350 made this Feb. Still has the seal. It came off when I unscrewed the lid. Stuck in the lid along with the other seal.Yea it looks correct and if you didn’t know Hodgdon no longer seals the bottle anymore, just the seal in the cap.
These are "one size fits all containers" a bulkier powder would look like it had more in the container. As an example, Hodgdon Trail Boss only has 9 oz in a container that usually holds a pound.
I think you'll find that the bags are spacious so that they don't crush when stacked or boxed.Next time you open a brand new bag of potato chips, check the level inside. It usually looks like some cretin in the warehouse ate about half the bag, then sealed it back up. LOL. The label on the bag always has some statement such as, "some settling may have occurred during shipment". Settling, my a$$. They used a much bigger bag than necessary so as to make it look like more. It's a marketing ploy.
I guess I was lucky to get an 8 pounder of H4895 for $130 last week. A nice gentleman helping my Grand Daughter.Funny comments yes if I had a scale I’d weight it. I was just curios and wanted to do a quick check with you guys.
on the flip side local gun shop had 21 single 1 pounders of Varget come in and I got 12. Finally!!!! $44 a pop
