FTR bipod mat placement

I think everyone’s different personal setups getting ready for their string of fire is interesting, how everyone’s position behind the gun varies so much, etc.

One thing I’m also curious about is how you go about getting you bipod mat placed and level? Especially if your area isn’t all that even. How aggressive do you get to make things to your liking?

I’m surprised no one else has commented. Cause I’ve watched guys pull out a rubber mallet and beat humps and bumps down then put their mat back down.
Ok, I will come clean I do jiggle my rifle back and forth to make a little pocket for the bipod feet.... I have seen the rubber mallet folks too..

On gravel I foot rake and stomp a level spot. I can't imagine shooting out of the holes the last guy leaves.

I also carry 4 pieces of heavy rubber mat so I can use one or two under each side. I don't remember ever using 2 on one side and one on the other, though.
