Front rest which one?

Grizzly has the slingshot rest on sale for $139.95 For that price, you won't find anything better.
Yea that rest looks great for the money. I missed the sale price. I just got my extra stuff sold so now I money in my pocket. I’ll be watching that one.

Not one i can come up with. Maybe a bit slower to go from sighter to target or shoot score matches with than a joy stick type but that's it.

Regards
Rick

Doing lots of narrowing down this morning since I have time to kill. So far if I spend more I like the Sinclare because it has the windage and elevation closer to the shooter. I like the windage design. It looks comfortable and would work best if I do any F/Open shooting. Quality and smoothness looks there.

If I spend less it’s between the Cowen and the Grizzly Bald Eagle Slingshot. Cowen as it’s simple yet solid. Bald Eagle as again windage is closer to me.
Yet I’ve read many do away with the cable so that may not be a plus.

I can afford the Sinclare just trying to decide if I need to spend that. My only drawback is why it needs to be so heavy. Would definitely need to set it up for my 11 yr old. But that’s ok. I’ll be helping her with everything anyways.

I have a Sinclair Competition Shooting Rest with the Benchrest Top and it has worked great for several years. Heavy but very stable.

I have several friends with the Bald Eagle rest and almost everyone of them has done away with the cable. One of the guys came up with a great modification to do away with the cable and is now the go to guy in our shooting group to modify it for the others.

I wish I had just bought the SEB first. Spent too much money on ones that I did not like, though the Grizzly is my back up.

Bob

I did the same thing. If I add up the money I've spent trying to save money, I would have a SEB and extra money too....I too have a sling shot.. best inexpensive rest I've had.

My bad arm forces me to use the cable windage system on the BE. At least for f-open, maybe on a bench I could reach up to the top.

It always gets the job done. Sometimes I have to fight the backlash some. I had a very bad spell lately and discovered the cable had gotten bent where it exits the top. Straightened it and it's ok again.

I prefer dial adjustment to a stick.
I will probably get the Sinclair eventually but the BE is still letting me spend money on other things first.

Chad the offer I made you still stands.
Hey just wanted to say thanks!
I got to go out and visit the Benchrest shooters today. I got to see and put my hands on some nice setups. Some were way out of my league some not so crazy about. I have been drawn to the Sinclair competition rest and it was on sale today for $100 off. I bit the bullet on it.
Thanks Again!
Chad

Would like to get one and not break the bank. Would like windage. Likely going to be used the most sighting and testing. And then by my 10 year old until she is large and strong enough to sling up.

Thanks
I have a Caldwell BR that I upgraded to a Farley, I will sell it for 110$ including shipping
