From Robinette to people who have sent $$

Prayers sent for both of you!!! Thank him for his service for me.... My Grandfather served in the Navy during WWll too. He was on the USS St Louis.

My 101yr old Dad is in hospital, so I may be several days late shipping your bullets. Dad served in the US Navy, aboard the USS Oglala & USS Dorsey, as Gunners Mate First Class.
He earned a lot of respect from friends and family - looks like he’ll be discharged Monday. I am proud to have earned HIS respect. View attachment 1228694
you are indeed a fortunate man to have a father thats 101-- You are doing the highest thing taking care of him. Best Wishes to you both.

It's important to remember who took care of us when we were not capable of taking care of ourselves. Care and respect for the men and women who dedicated their lives to us is the least we can do. Salute to your Dad.

Randy, Hard to put in to words the well earned respect your pop deserves. Best wishes for both of you and hope he gets well and is back to his old haunts.

Prayers are with him.
Thank him for his service.
He was at Pearl Harbor on the Oglala?
USS Dorsey didn’t have a good fate either. No wonder why he lives in Iowa, far as possible from water.
M
I’m guilty of not recalling which ship, when. At Pearl Harbor bomming, his ship was at sea, o search & rescue for a PBY. I’ll ask him when he wakes up. As I recall, the Dorsey was converted into a mine sweeper. Dad always has said that, prior to the Pearl raid, they depth charged many times for probable Japanese subs.
