Freeland Style 22LR Ammo boxes

I have been looking for a quality 22LR ammo box for smallbore match shooting. I have used the MTM box for the last few years but have always been annoyed by the springy plastic hinged cover and cheap feel of it.
I finally found someone who makes wooden Freeland Style ammo boxes. These are made out of cedar and are very nice. These are only 22 bucks each! I ordered 2 and had them in a few days. Very happy with quality of these.

They have 2 different sizes. My boxes of Center X fit perfectly in the $22.00 version.

Avoid them. Reboxing match ammo, if anything, can smear, displace lube.
You’re far better off putting a”podium” under the ammo.
ELEY makes a simple plastic one that raises all the rounds at different heights to pick them easy.

One of the guys on this site that makes match ammo holders in walnut, with timers made a set of 60 round free pistol .22 rf walnut ammo holders for us with timers. Look and work great. These MAY have been from Mark Negal.
