freebore question regarding 7wsm and 180 VLD's

Starting a 7wsm build utilizing a R700 LA, 9t Krieger and .314 necked reamer -- anyone have specific experience they can share regarding optimal freebore (and COAL) with their 7wsm and 180 Berger Hunting VLD's?

Thanks for any insights!

I have an F-Open rifle with a long action in 7mm WSM, when I ordered the reamer from PT&G, Dave Kiff recommended a .190 free bore for the Berger 180 VLD's and it has served me well.
Any of the reamer manufacturers can give you information on specific bullet/freebore combinations, after all this IS WHAT THEY DO.
Dave Kiff at PT&G has ALWAYS been very helpfull and never steered me wrong!

Great, thanks for the insight! Yes, Dave is exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful -- top drawer in every respect! - recall reading a post from another member a while back that used 0.19 and felt like they were getting so so results (too much jump) - anyway, glad to get another perspective - thanks! Anybody else use a different length with success?

BTW, what is your OAL? Thanks again

Well, emailed Vince Bottomley to just ask what his 7/300wsm (that has done so spectacularly well) was built to and liked -- what a GREAT GUY, responded immediately/extremely helpful -- says that his 7/300wsm as originally reamed for 0.265 fb intending to run Cauteruccio's but ended up going with Bergers and the results, I suppose, speak for themselves! Thanks Vince for the input!
