FrankenRest

I owned a SEB mini-X for a while but we never really bonded. The joy stick adjustments weren’t fine enough for my taste. I have taken to using an adjustable bag rider - it has a very finely threaded thumbwheel that allows me to dial in my elevation much more accurately than I can with a wand. After making that change, I decided to make my own rest out of a collection of components. I started with a Protektor tripod rest and bolted that to an aluminum plate of my own making. I added leveling adjustment using half inch threaded thumbscrews. I wanted better control over the cant of my forend, so I replaced a leather sandbag with a 5 Axis Rest Top from Rodzilla. So far, it is doing a much better job of controlling cant than the sandbag. It is now “set it and forget it”. It hasn’t boosted my F-class scores into the stratosphere quite yet, but hopefully it is a step in the right direction. Behold the FrankenRest:

Nice job.
You are aware that the adjustable bag rider is illegal in F-Class according to the rules.

See rule book
(4) No portion of the rifle’s butt or fore end shall rest directly on the
ground or any hard surface. A rear rabbit eared bag, small sandbag
or a gloved hand may be used to support the rifle’s butt. Any
rear support employed shall not be attached, clamped or held to
the rifle in any manner. The rear support may not be fixed to or
protrude into the firing point. Mechanically elevation-adjustable
rear support is not allowed in any form.

So the rear support refers to the bag underneath the stock. The bag rider is not part of the rear support, it is part of the rifle.

I read this to mean you cannot have an adjustable platform underneath the bag.

I read this to mean, the bag, as the rear support
cannot be attached to the rifle

An ABR is part of the rifle's butt stock, not part of the rear support employed (The Bag)

Here it is specifying the 3 things that can be used as the REAR SUPPORT
1) rear rabbit eared bag,
2) small sandbag

3) gloved hand may be used to support the rifle’s butt.

I do read that the bag or the thing holding the bag,(tray, frame etc) cannot be adjustable

We can have an adjustable cheek rest right (top of the buttstock)?
Why not have an adjustable bottom of the buttstock as well? as long as it is not part of the bag or hand "Supporting"..........the rifle
