Did a search on here. Couple sales but not much discussion. They look interesting and would like to hear what others that have them think. Not for bench shooting. Thanks!

I don't know about plug and play but the one's I've handled are really feeling good in your hands, plus they look great.

I have one on a lone peak fuzion. No bedding required. They look amazing in person. They have a really solid feel and recoil that is hard to explain.Shoot one and you will know instantly what I’m talking about.

In your opinion, would it be fair to say that they shoot better than a chassis? Because the action isn’t riding on thin edges of aluminum. Or are chassis going to perform equally? I see the other reasons to buy a foundation, looks, feel, fit etc. but is there a performance gain?

I have some of each. The foundation fit to the fuzion action is perfect as the bottom is multi flats. There are some chassis that benefit from a skim bed.I had a mpa that needed bedding. Most are fine without just torque and shoot.Very repeatable when removing and reinstalling barreled action. To me it is more a matter of how comfortable it is to shoot ie cheekoiece, grip, distance to trigger. The foundation is hands down winner in looks. If you can handle some before buying it could save you$$$

No stock is bedding free whether its a factory wood stock all the way up to an aluminum chassis. Yes you can bolt an action in there and go just like you can with a factory plastic stock. Not saying its ideal but for what they are intended for itll be fine for most customers

What kinda luck have you seen bedding an aluminum chassis? I’m kicking it around. Just recoil lug, whole thing, do you suck it down to contact aluminum or try to keep bedding between the two, or do I wanna put some dykem on it and assemble it to see what’s touching? What bedding compound will best adhere to aluminum? I love everything about my chassis but I wonder if there’s performance left on the table.

What i do on aluminum is figure out where its touching, grind away clearance everywhere else for epoxy room, bed it, go back and grind away clearance on those high spots, score the new bedding, then bed it 100% so its only touching epoxy. I dont want to go off track on this post too far but if you want more info you can reply to one of mine or anybody elses bedding posts in the gunsmithing section

I ordered one last week. M2G in the distressed look.

My smith shoots a lot of PRS and has one on his main gun. I really like the feel of them. They're a really dense material that "weights" the rifle well.

I'll report back to thread once I get it.

Edit: I'm bedding mine.

Ive wanted a distressed one myself since the first one i touched. Man they are so solid its unreal. And yes ive bedded every one ive built and ill bed my own as well (if i ever am lucky enough to own one)

I have a few of them and really like them a lot. I prefer the distressed version, but I have both. I prefer them over a chassis, especially in cold weather, and the recoil is more dead in my opinion.
I have not bedded mine after talking to several people who own them and said they didn't see that difference. However this is also subjective to what you plan on using it for. Another great benefit is the customer service. John-Kyle has always been great to talk with and he goes out of his way to make sure all of your questions are answered and you find the stock that works for you. I also highly recommend the Hawkins bottom metal. I have used this combination for center fire and rimfire and both worked flawlessly. If you decide to use Hawkins, call them and let them know what magazines you planning to use and they can point you in the right direction. My only regret was not getting one sooner. :)

I recently ordered a Centurion and I'm super excited. Have messed around with one and fell in love with it. I will post pics when I get it on the action.

I have one - great stock not bedded and it shoots really good season to season. I know several others that are not bedded that have won matches…probably more Indian than arrow I suppose.

Its just according to the matches and the precision needed. Most matches these stocks are used in it wont show up with all the other variables in play

Understood and I’m aware was just adding my 2 cents. I’ve shot a few benchrest matches and those guns are setup different.
