Found some 10X

I can pick up a 5lb jug of Alliant 10X at a sporting goods store. The cost is 280.00 plus tax. Is this a decent deal or should I just wait. I shoot it in a 20 Tactical and I have a little left. One lb goes a long way with my load. Should I just look for a couple lbs somewhere or is this like a rarity to find and I should grab it?

I thought I read that all isn’t was not shipping any out. I saw some at my local store as well and it was $325 for the 5lb. And I couldn’t pull the trigger.
I have a 20 tac and a 204 ruger that hoping to get back in September with new barrel. I been tempted to try it but I already have other powders to work with

I went and bought some H1000 last week. That shop I went to. Had a few jugs of the RL10 powder. I have 10 pds of RL10 put up. I use H4895 in my 204 ruger.

I was digging around looking for powder the other day and found an 8 lb jug of WIN 760. It is a few years old. It had a price tag on it, boy was I shocked, $130 for 8 lbs .

I’ve been tripping over a 5 pound jug of 10 X for a while now. What cartridges do you guys think this really sings in?

It's very, very good powder in most of the .20 cals - .20 Practical, .20 Tactical, .20-222 and .204 Ruger. One of my go-to powders for my .20 Practical. It also does very well in the .223 Rem/5.56x45 with the mid and lighter bullets. RL-10 behind a 40 gr. V-Max in a .223 is a great combination. I've never tried it, but I suspect it would do well in the 6.5 Grendel with the lighter bullets, 107 gr. and below.

$280 is a decent price these days. I'd grab it. If you believe the rumble in the market, Alliant powders are going to be hard to come by for some time. Five pounds should keep your .20 Tactical happy for quite some time.
