Forum Etiquette

Hello, All! I'm new to this forum and I'm wondering about how to direct questions. For instance, I'm interested in building a 6BR based on all the good things I've read. Although, after reading about it, I have more questions than I anticipated. What's the difference between 6BR and 6BR Norma? Why does a particular brand of brass determine the way it should be chambered? Etc., etc. Should I put most of these questions in the rifle project threads?

Thanks and looking forward to gathering information on this website!

Well, there's a forum here especially for 6BR and variants. That would be a good place to post. Just keep it polite. Don't get into fights. If someone gets out of line (you'd be amazed at what sets some people off) just report their posts via the web interface and step away.

Duly noted, DRNewcomb. I'll be careful and considerate!

sihan4518,
First off, welcome aboard! In addition to the other recommendations, you can scroll down to the "6br" section on the opening page of the forum and either ask your questions or look for similar questions that have already been posted and discussed. The 6br is a very very popular and accurate round/caliber and many folks on this blog have at least one rifle in 6br caliber, plus all the others that we kick around looking for accuracy. But feel free to ask if you can't find exactly what you are looking for in terms of an answer. There are also books available, written by some very well recognized and notable marksmen/competitors (Tony Boyer - Mike Ratigan) that can help give greater detail in how they and others, got to the top accuracy level that won them that recognition. Most of all, have fun and get ready to spend some money. This sport isn't cheap, but is so self fulfilling.
