I think we got as much testing as we were gonna get and the current provider is causing us enough headaches that we need to make the switch sooner rather than later. We're going to attempt to switch tomorrow and I believe the Forum Boss is going to post some details.

We plan to commence the switch-over about 1600 hours Pacific time on Tuesday March 6, 2012.
If things go according to plan, the Forum could be down anywhere from 15 minutes to one hour. However, during our last attempt unknown bugs cropped up once 100+ users started using the forum simultaneously. We may have to adjust the server settings and database settings. There is the possibility that we'd have to go offline one or more times later in the evening to deal with this.
Keep your fingers crossed guys. When the shift to new server is complete, the overall performance of the forum should be better and we should have better control over backups.
But for a day or two you may see sporadic downtimes as we work with the server parameters to optimize performance and eliminate bottlenecks.
