Is the Forester stem with expander compatible to be used in a Redding non bushing and Type S bushing die? I don't like the expanders sitting low on the stem unlike the Forster.

Thanks, I guess I'll have to purchase the Forster die. They are up to around 6.5 caliber then it may take some part swaps and drilled and tapping the top plug. On RCBS dies the Forster are a direct swap, but on reddings you have to cut the threaded rod to a certain length to screw back into their top plug.
6 BR, possible I would want to change all of my stems for all of my dies for other rifles if it does work well. What caliber of Redding are you wanting to change stems in?

You can take the Redding die stem apart to see how the Forster stem threads would be cut off to fit it. Post #26 in the above thread shows what it will look like.6 BR, possible I would want to change all of my stems for all of my dies for other rifles if it does work well.
