Forster CoAx increased access linkage ,is there a down side?

Is there any downside to the aftermarket side linkages for the CoAx?
I have a new CoAx. I am not bothered by the amount of access I have, but I want to be like the cool kids.

I quickly saw I liked the concept of the short handle, and miraculously, my handle got shorter.

You should get the curvy ones - then get them Ceracoated with something sparkly and fit LED underglow lighting. Way cooler.

I have a set on my CO-AX press and I do not know how I have lived without them. There is no issues with hand access.

I never really had any issue with the factories linkage, but the easy access linkage seemed like a good idea so I installed them on my CoAx. Well . . . I don't find any difference nor any real advantage for me, probably because my hands are large but lean. If I had really large and/or thick hands and fingers, I think the easy access linkage would be helpful and make sense, just not so with thinner or smaller hands.

I am a small volume reloader. 50 cases at once is a big run for me.

I bought a set of the curved linkages, and put them on my Coax. While there is better access, I didn't find it to be much of a benefit. I guess I was happy with the access in the factory configuration. I did find the "action" of the press to be less positive. With the curved linkage, the press took on a "springy" feel, which I did not like. I am back to the straight factory linkages, and quite happy with them.

I noticed that too. Wondering if it affected the sizing and seating depth I put the straight ones back on and ran a test. The results were that same so I put the curved ones back one. But it is something that you have to get used to.

I have a very old Bonanza Co-ax. I have considered the curvy linkage as well. I think what would help me more is the newer style stirrup which allows for the fancy micrometer seating dies to be used.
I did break down and buy the quick change shell holder plates. I didn't like spending the $$ but I switch pretty often and the aggravation factor made it worth the price I guess.

Have a Bonanza Co-Ax that I bought new in 1973. All I do is clean it when necessary and keep it lubricated, still works as good today as it did in 73. Unless you have hands the size of Shaq, factory linkage is fine. Don't fix it, if
it isn't broke.;)

I was using the curved links for a short while but took them off. I just didn’t care for the feel. I don’t mind the stock ones.
I have a shorter handle as well. It just makes everything a little easier. There is already plenty of leverage in the presses design. You don’t really need that long of a handle.

What is the advantage of the short handle? I like my Co-Ax the way it was built.
The long handle had a long throw.
A shorter handle greatly reduces my arm motion. I still have gobs of leverage.

I think I will skip replacing the linkage for now. My hands fit in there just fine. I can use that $40 as a down payment on some primers.
