Forster ADL

I haven't used anything but crossbolt lock rings for many years. I replaced the setscrew version on my Forster dies before I use them. About time someone at the factory tossed the setscrews.

The extended thread surface is, IMHO, overkill. The press threads provide all the strength. It might provide better concentricity if the press threads are not good, but, probably not significant.

Forster Adaptor Die Lock
Has anyone tried these, I didn’t even know they existed until I stumbled onto them on Graf’s website.
They have more thread clamping surface than the regular lock ring to supposedly take some of the thread slop out.
I’ve been using Foster rings with the cross bolt in my Co-Ax for years but they are standard looking though just a “touch” thicker to better fit in the slot that holds the die in place. I have never seen one with that step in it… Perhaps that is for a conventional press where the die is screwed into the top of the press head.
The top extension would give more support on the die body for that type of press but I don’t think it would work for the Co-Ax.
