Forming 6mm Rem from Norma 7x57 Mauser brass

I'm looking for information on forming methods to size Norma 7x57 mauser brass to 6mm Remington. Thanks

I tried 6mm FL dies without the expander and it is too small to fit not only the 6mm mandrel but also the 22 cal on my neck turner. I also tried to size them with the expander in and it was so tight I could not pull the handle down on my press.

If you are using bushing dies, check and make sure you have the right bushing in.If it is all good, use your expander mandrel that came with your turner. Thats the way I do it anyway. seems to work.

Greg Taylor has a video somewhere on forming 7X57 brass to 6 rem brass.
I got the steps written down. The process
makes some really straight brass.
You’ll need to get a set of 257 Roberts dies and 6 Remington dies. Iam very happy with the results. A little time and work.
Thanks
Richard

784F375D-EB50-4BF2-B2FF-ADC34C62641B.jpeg I woke up today- had no plans and my wife would surely put me to work if she saw me sitting around so I went to the loading room and decided to see if I could form 6 mm rem from 270 Win and 30-06. It took some trying to get the technique down- once I did the results were great. On the left is factory 270 win. The middle is the 270 formed down to 6 rem and not yet trimmed. And to the right is a factory 6 rem. I later checked neck thickness of the formed piece of 6 rem and it was about .016”. So after trimming I I checked to see if it chambered in my rifle and it did with a slight bit of resistance. I could size it or bump the shoulder a tad if needed. I then turned the necks down to .014 to clean them up- the straight 6 rem I have is a no turn neck. This was all done using a Redding 6 rem full length die with the decapping rod removed. Makes me wonder if 30-06 Lapua brass would be worth doing
