6mm Rem brass

I have a couple 6mm Rem factory Rem rifles and my brass is getting low,,,all I see that would work is Norma 7x57 and Nosler 257 Roberts +P,,it would seem the 257 Bob brass would take less work but is the Nosler brass as good as the Norma,,if I am gonna have to make it I hope it will last a while,,

I thought I saw some RWS 7x57 a while back but I cant find it now,,

I see that Hornady makes 6mm Rem brass, would that be good to use? I have applied for a permit to buy some from sinclairs and have it shipped to australia.

I am making 6mm brass from 7x57 Norma through my dillon 650. If you want a few hundred pieces let me know. 150.00 per hundred for just sized brass. Trimming and neck turning is up to you. If you want fully prepped brass - email me

From what I have read, the answer to your question is NO. I'd go the Norma route seeing as how you're going to have to do the workup. Cost less in the long run. Probably same amount of time to process either, apples to apples.
A shooter of your caliber, imo, would not be happy with the Nosler brass composition. Not enough head room to explore the upper regions. But as I said, this is a culmination of what I've read. I haven't put a round through the Sinclair 6mm 40X I traded for back in the mid '70s. But I do have some brass, shot ??? x. I'm going to anneal it for sure before I finally start enjoying it.

Eric,
I believe that Norma makes the Nosler brass. So just which ever you can get the cheapest and how much work your willing
to do. Dont waste your money on Hornady brass. The RWS is good but more expensive yet. I have had good luck with Jamsion brass but only in the old calibers. I think Midway has Prvi 7x57 brass which is pretty good as well. Several people here on the list use their 243 brass. Win still makes 6mm but limited avaliablity. Easy to form from 257 Roberts. Norma is probably your best bet.

I shoot a venerable Browning B78 Highwall in 6mm Remington. I have shot both the Hornady and Winchester. I prefer the Winchester. I keep annealing and they keep on going. I made some cases from 257 Roberts Nosler but ended up with donut city. I will never do that again.
