Foresight for target rifle

Hello everyone

Which foresight do you recommend for target rifle, and where can I buy one? I am also looking for recommendations for the inserts.

What type of rifle are you using ? What is the diameter of the barrel tenon at the muzzle ? Does your rifle have a dove tail block on the muzzle ?

Doug Beach makes front sight tubes for long range and Mark Trew sells the adjustable iris with lenses to fit in them.

Right sight by stallings machine is no longer available ... I just sold my last one this year.
Should be able to find something by Anschutz, RPA, Centra.

Not sure if Champions shooter supply is still around but they were an excellent company to deal with. Same with Freelands. If I were to buy a new set. it would likely be Anschutz

what type of rifle are u putting this front sight on? Rimfire, center fire
long range or X-Course.
Most use a 30mm front for a centerfire while 22mm is still common on a rimfire.

This is for center fire 300-900 meter fullbore shooting

The rifle I’m using is a Barnard

.750 diameter machined cut at the muzzle

I have no base for the front

I was looking for a right sight but found out they are no longer being made

Using Warner rear sight

Thanks everyone for the suggestion on Doug Beach sight I've contacted him but unfortunately he's not shipping outside of the US and I am from Canada

Any other suggestions?

It's been a challenge finding equipment for target rifle not like fclass

How about Scott Riles. He made 30 mm front sights. I believe Centra also makes them.

I don't know if champions choice will ship to Canada but they have mo's 22mm barrel band sights. 22mm irises should be easier to get.

Sumo did and may still ship internationally. Other than that, it's kinda tough. Got any family in the states? Have you tried contacting any shooters in Canada?

Check with Trace scope repairs, think he is in Calgary now, he bought my Walther & Parker sights off me in Hanna last yr, he is buying and reselling various irons. There was a fella named Paul Reiber or Reiben around at the gun shows who dealt in irons as well, Trace may know if he is still around or not.

HPS in the UK normally stock a couple of types and I'm sure they would ship to Canada, I think the guy who owns or used to own the business lives there at least part of the year

I asked around and came across cooper sight from Australia he will ship to Canada also so I should be good I ordered one

What aperture range does everyone recommend? Plan to shoot 300-900 meters

I was recommended a centra Goliath but there’s 4 different ranges and I’m not familiar

everyones view ( through) is different ,there must be people at your local club that can advise a bit? My use is 6mm with a .5 eagle eye but i only use an 18mm front tunnel at 300 and 600
