Have you ever noticed that from the time of your gunsmith telling you that he is starting your build till he calls and says he put your new rifle in the mail, until it arrives that life's clock just stands still? Got the call yesterday! Thinking I may have discovered something here, years 0 to 18 were forever, between then and 50 like the half life of uranium, just turned around one day and I was 60. Couple of days later at 62 had a heart attack and realized I could see the end from where I was standing. Now a couple of months later at approaching 76 I realized that waiting on a new build is the only thing that slows down the clock! I'm going to call Mike Davis today and start another build, just trying to figure out what else I need...... maybe a pump action BR, I don't have one of those... John

Well I turn 60 April 5 it just seems I was just 30 . Now 30 yrs has passed and I’m retiring after 37yrs of maintaining a railroad . Or helping maintain a railroad . I have 30 working days left . Unless I find something else I want to do . Were has time went?
But yes if you want time to sum what slow down order a new build .
I do have a build ordered been on order sense last October

A gunsmith's clock is the only device that continues to run the same speed as it did 65 years ago. Back then, the wait for Christmas was forever as was the school year.
Now the week only has 3 days, Monday Wednesday and Friday. And I have heard rumors that that is going to be shortened.

The way the country is headed, it just may not be bad to be old. I see the so called peaceful riots in the streets and the killing and the destruction of federal and private property and no one gets arrested. Just the inverse if you do it in their sand box, they pull in federal troops and put up a wall and arrest everybody they can, it is hard to take. I guess I won't have to put up with this BS. much longer.....
I have enough components and barrels for two year or so by then I don't think it will be fun then, if we even can have guns any more. ....... jim

I will be 60 2 months from today. Just found out last month that I am finally going to become a grandfather. Crazy when I look back, it truly seems like my son and daughter were born just a couple of months ago but it’s been almost 30 years. I hope that I am able to spend some of my older days in the field with my grandsons or granddaughters and be able to show them the wonderful things that nature has to offer. I hope I can show them how to respect and handle a gun safely. And the wonderful smell of Hoppys #9 when cleaning a firearm that my Dad exposed me to,thanks Dad! Even though I don’t use that product anymore I still keep a bottle around just to open it up and smell it it takes me back 50 years! Time.... enjoy every moment that you are blessed with!

I did spend most of the day with my 17yr old Grand Daughter at the range. She is interested in shooting Service Rifle and had some one on one instruction.
I was proud as she shot a 18 rounds in the 10 ring and 2 in the 9 ring. at 200 yards. Those nines were my fault as I had her click the vertical the wrong way. I'm glad my scope has a great reticle as a 4.5X Service Rifle scope is tough at 200 yds.

Age isn’t the only thing that makes you happy to see tomorrow. I had a bad accident at work 3 months ago and rode away in the ambulance with a let that tore up bad but one step closer and I probably wouldn’t be making this long post. As we all know be thankful for today cause tomorrow isn’t promised. Even though I will miss most of the season this year I am thankfully alive and will walk again to the shooting bench. Hope everyone has a Happy Easter!

I will say this, when my Grandson went to WVU I learned to walk on the side of a hill all the time as you were always on the side of a hill in WV. Tough on an old man with Cerebellar ataxia.
