Fly Shoot 9-15-18

Well done to Mike & also to Denny for taking out the SOTY ... some top scores & and individual targets shot.

Think the pressure is on us this weekend... oh by the way us Aussie's are just about out of Berger Bullets....give them a shake for us !!

Cheers Ken.

Haha we are out of berger bullets .. haven't seen for ages .. 6mm stuff is like rocking horse shit and goes in less than a day when it turns up .. we are only getting small amount of berger stuff from orders over 12 to 18 months ago.. berger just don't send us anything since they moved to new factory .. sucks too and so over it .. trying different bullets now as i have given up.. i brought some 105gr hybrids over 12 months ago to stock up and haven't seen anymore since

Combined scores for September postal match with Canberra Australia
Our guys hung in there throughout the year, shot some great targets and scores.
Big thanks to the guys who saw the season thru to the end.
Thanks to Dave, Anthony, and Michael in Australia for all your knowledge and help with scoring data.

WE will be ready for you next year. Maybe shoot at night using Q beams to beat the mirage. We get plenty of practice at night during hunting season. Just harder to keep us good ole boys sober at night.
I have no doubt you guys will be ready, the best of luck to you all.

Night shooting is one way to beat the mirage but I reckon we may have the same problem with the sober thing!!!

Rumor has it that Judd is preparing a Fly Killer for next season!!!
I hope this has more truth to it then the supreme court hearings do

As long as you space them out like you did last year and I can heal my shoulder afterwards...I'll spin up a barrel without a brake. Dumbest rule ever but I can't stand missing out on all the fun. ;)

Michael Bell,
Thanks for the kind words and great effort writing the summary of our first years competition.
I cant say enough about the help that was freely given by the dedicated Aussie shooters.
Years back when I tried to have sanctioned matches here with another association all I was told was what I couldn't do not what could they do to help me. No such issues with the Aussie's helping from the other side of the globe.
Thank you to the great bunch of shooters that stayed with it thru the year. A lot of guys and girls donated their time to run the scoring program, score the targets and help the target crew. Without their help the shoots would not have been possible.
We are working on the dates for next years shoots. Plan is to have 4 shoots at Pine Valley in 2019 and I am willing to bring the target stands to other ranges should a club want to try Fly Shooting next year.
Mike
