not anything like the hype, now their trying to find things that don't make them look so wrong.
But I still have faith they can see climate problems 20-30 years in the future.

Great to hear.Central Florida, just outside Orlando, a non-event. Rain and some wind but no damage.
Yea lots of rain not much wind but Tornado Warnings popping up regularly in Shallotte/ Ocean Isle Beach Area.it is here in Myrtle beach now. Not too bad though.
So, those new windows and doors get a test?Got ugly for a while yesterday around noon, couple of tornado warnings in my neighborhood but we got lucky again

Metal is the way to go with roofs. Shingles may in some ways be more attractive but that don't out-way the gains from metal.I live in a small house, I worked in the Town of Plam Beach on mansions for years and decided I didn't want to be a slave to a house. Two years ago we got a homeowners insurance bill for over $5000 and were told this year would be over $7000. We had no choice but to self-insure. $7000 to insure a 1200 sq foot house was insane. We have signed a contract for a standing seam 22 gage metal roof that will handle 170 mph winds. Money better spent in my opinion than my shingle roof blowing off and flooding my house and ruining every thing I own, only to be told how little insurance will actually cover. Only issue I have is the new roof ids 7 weeks out.
