My thought was a little to fast on the feed, maybe not enough cutting fluid. Might have been chattering right when it stopped cutting. I will see if I can get a different angle.Never seen this one before. First thought was possibly a miniscule chip out of a flute at the neck/shoulder junction of the reamer, but that would be cleaned up by the other flutes. No clue how that raised pattern in steel could be created by a rotating reamer. Can your borescope do right-angle imaging rather than straight-on? It should be obvious if you can get a right-angle view and spin the barrel around it at the shoulder.
