First time using new brass

I size new or old brass and check length measurements and trim, if necessary. New or old brass should be handled using all the steps taken in reloading to lessen any issues with chambering in the firearms used.

Do the same thing to your virgin necks that you do on fired necks. Do everything the same, all of the time. It's actually easier to keep track, because you just do the same thing every time.

Otherwise, your virgin load will not perform like your 1x or 2x fired load. Right? If vigin cases have very tight neck tension, but your resized cases only have 0.002" tension, you just added a variable and you're gonna be trying to figure out why they shoot different maybe not in a good way.

I've had excellent results with virgin Lapua brass. Depending on the cartridge and your chamber, there may be a 15 fps difference, or 50 fps, or who knows.
