Nothing, if you are happy we are happy. Twist them in a scotchbrite and it will all blend.Hello all. Well, this morning I neck turned some 6ppc for the first time ever. It seems to have went well. I used a PMA tool. Let me know what i did wrong.

You should barley touch the shoulder.Hello all. Well, this morning I neck turned some 6ppc for the first time ever. It seems to have went well. I used a PMA tool. Let me know what i did wrong.

Recently turned for a .262 neck and went to .0085 x 2 + .243 = .260 loaded neck diameter.Years ago I was told that turning down onto the shoulder slightly will reduce the odds of getting a donut.
Seemed to work out but, as mentioned above, I didn't go down that far on the shoulder.
May I ask what your target thickness was for the neck? Turning for a .262 neck?
Always check the bullets actual diameter (pressure ring) . Most bullets are not 243 or 308. I've seen 6mm bullets measure 2428 to 2443 on different brands/ lots of bullets. Best to check with a loaded dummy round as mentioned earlier. Looks pretty good to me maybe just a bit further then I usually turn into should but it will be fine.

And the chamfer looks aggressive. The case mouth looks knife-edged.I normally turn into the shoulder little less than half that much but as mentioned it will probably be just fine.
