First solvent application when cleaning

Yesterday I ordered a .22 rf. cleaning rod and guide from Bore Tech. During the conversation, the gentleman who was helping me, mentioned a cleaner that they have specifically formulated for dealing with rim fire residue. According to him, it is quite different from centerfire fouling. I did order some for this new barrel. I just pass this info along because I was unaware there was so much more abrasive grit in rimfire priming. Good shooting, all.

This stuff, IMHO, has been the go to solvent for rimfire for years.
It is the best.
While rimfire priming issues have been an issue, more or less, that is not why this stuff is good. Because it is citrus based it is very adept at most rimfire fouling which is wax based. When you want to get right down to clean metal it works quite well.

Yes, that’s the stuff. It arrived just now. By the way, the new cleaning rod and guide look like quality equipment as well.
