First Shot Flyers - CZ 22 LR

I have had a couple of rimfires that threw the first cold shot I too tried every fix out there but to no avail, I finally just gave up and sent them down the road. I will not tolerate a rifle that throws the first shot, if they do not deliver to the same point of impact, hot or cold, first shot or last shot then they are gone. Life is too short to tolerate a rifle like that. After spendin lots of time, ammo, etc on them I have become convinced that it is a barrel issue and they just never get better.

First shot fliers from a lead bullet rifle are a bane to be tolerated or go to jacketed bullets..I shot lead bullets in the Coors single shot matches..The cold bore shot was always 6" out at 11:00, second 3" out then coming in...Even shots out of rthym (delay of more than 2 minutes) had to be dumped into the bank...Lube cooling off-friction change-etc. 22rf is a continuation of the same set of problems..The 6" out was at 200 yds..LT

Jacketed bullets do the same thing from a cleaned barrel most of the time. Shot 6ppc and 30br for several years and dare not to attempt a record shot until fouling was accomplished.

No change in results. Tenex, Midas+, Eley Match, Polar Biathlon. Pillared, bedded up to the barrel on both rifles. I am not going to let it bother me anymore. It is what it is. I solved the problem, though, with a NIB Anschutz 54 model 1913. It shoots the first two rounds where they are aimed. ;D And the rest of them.
