First long Distance Outing With My 6BRA

Following up on this thread a bit. Had not shot my 6bra in a couple of weeks so I loaded 20 rounds and a few foulers and did a neck tension test late this afternoon.

I have been shooting 261 neck tension so I started there as a baseline and shot 5 shot groups from 261-264. Came away learning a lots, but still have some questions. Main question is what 260 would have looked like. This is at 535 yards.

Yep. I know. My target is upside down. Was losing daylight and did not have time to take it down and flip it. Could not tell at 535 yards anyway. View attachment 1450319
My best bushing was a 260 redding

Turned necks?

I ran a similar test a couple weeks ago that showed improvement on a tighter bushing but on the re- shoot it shot the same as before so I guess I’ll have to re-shoot the re-shot.

I suspected as such
Just clarifying for others.

I recently started playing with neck on my unturned brass, went from a .267 to a .265 and I need to confirm with groups but on steel yesterday from 460 to 1286 yards it seemed to show a noticeable improvement on an already good shooting load.
I had impressively good vertical.
Unfortunately I’m not absolutely sure as I also started annealing every loading and did my first trim, I had to trim a bit short because 6BRA brass doesn’t seem to grow at all so I just trimmed to shortest case.

I chose 261 based on my results at 100 and have shot it at the three local matches I participated in. It shot ok so I tested powder charge and seating depth during the matches.

This was my first chance to test neck tension long distance. I will reshoot it to see if it repeats. There was little to no wind and I did not have much time so I did not put out any flags. The 263 target seems squirrelly. I wonder if the slight pickup could have impacted it.
