First hummingbird of the year!

No hummers yet, seem to be late this year.

Pair of Purple Martin's found the nice clean house waiting on them yesterday.
Amazing what work we do to watch the flying Critters.

First Hummingbird here middle of everywhere Ks. May 5th seem to be late this year. Wife is preparing the food mixture now. Will be purchasing more sugar for a while now.

We had our first hummingbird of the year buzz our porch in Ohio yesterday. My wife hung a feeder and we had a male and a female show up before dark.

Had our first one the 20th of April.
I usually have two feeders out eventually and have had every feeding station with a hummingbird (12 total) with one bird and sometimes two birds feeding from one perch. Then there are another 10 or so hovering around waiting for a feeding station to open up.
I can tell when a feeder is empty as the little buggers will follow me around the yard, fussing, till I go in the house and get some more food for their feeders
