first firing at last.

my redding dies arrived today so i loaded 30 new lapua cases with some 60gn sierra hp with a starting load of 31gns varget.i couldnt go to my range because the weather here in the uk is terrible,my sympathys to those of you in the u.s.a that are having a lot worse than us.
i have a bullet trap that is in my back yard[well its a pit i dug and filled with sand that has a 4" pipe sticking out that takes the gun muzzle the neighbours dont hear a thing]i shot 3 rounds cleaning between each.fired necks are .267 which i think from previous posts is correct.there was a bit of carbon/residue on the cases half way down only very light-is this normal on first firing?.
im hoping to get out sunday to get the scope on paper at least while breaking in the bbl.

Gary, with new brass it is hard to tell but it sounds like a light load. CAUTION - Move up only in small increments. Bill
