Firing pin spring drag

I've reamed them with a 7/16 reamer but I did it to install a Delrin bushing on the firing pin to prevent the pin tip from coming off center when cocked. I even have a Flex Hone to polish the bores. All that was prior to all the custom actions coming to market.

Is the spring snaking? Correct spring? Gre-tan offers some springs that are supposedly smaller OD. May have to buy the entire assembly.

If correct length spring, you could make a mandrel and using emery cloth, put in lathe take a little off the OD, then polish the spring.

Spring is straight. A new spring will drag if it's not on the assembly... just the spring. I'll check out gretan

I like the sounds of that and am embarrassed that I never did it! Did you see any positive effect? WH
