Fireforming question 220 Russian to 6.5 grendel

Looking for some advice on fireforming 220 Russian to 6.5 grendel. I’m looking for any advice on how to fireform without bullets. What powder should I use, and how much of it (with or without cream of wheat)? Any other advice or helpful hints would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Case length for both is listed at 1.52. It will shorten a little when necking up, but should not be an issue.

It’s more than just the decreasing case length as a result from necking up; brass obviously will be displaced to fill out the body and the shoulder, it’s basically a .075 taller 6.5 PPC and material has to come from somewhere other than the case head.......”shorten a little“ will be relative.

Google fire forming 6PPC

Right, compared to 6ppc the shoulder is moved forward more. That should not stretch brass anymore than fire-forming to 6ppc. I’ve read quite a bit on fire-forming 6ppc, I just wasn’t sure if I should adjust charges for forming 6.5 grendel.

I also have a 6mmAR so I may firearm them to that instead. Any suggestions on where to start as far as a firearm load?
