Fiocchi Primers

Picked up some Fiocchi small pistol primers and tried some out on one of my Dillon 550s.
Dang things don't feed very well, even had some looked like they where slightly out of round, so either would not seat at all or sideways.
Glad I only bought a brick.

Used several thousand of them during the primer shortage several years ago. Used both small rifle & small pistol for IPSC & USPSA competition loading on 1050 Dillon’s with no issues,

They werent Fiocchi but Ive had primers that didnt feed in my 650 Dillon. Dont remember what kind but I think you get a cup thats a little off that made it through once in a while. Doug

This on brass you're familiar with? I heard "Fiocchi" pronouced FEE OKIE the other day by the way. I always thought it was FEE AWCHIE. :p

Bought about one thousand SRP awhile back during the primer shortages , "Just in case" and they loaded fine with no issues in that respect . My only negative was that they "slowed" the velocity of the same load by a average of 40fps , in my .308 Comp load . Other than that , they were fine .

I had the same experience on the same machine.

I prime as a separate step, but noticed the fiocchi cups on srp seemed 'soft'. When I used them in proven loads in a couple of rifles I felt they were on the verge of blanking.

Fiocchi loaded ammo in 223 and 204 worked great for me in the pdog fields. The flash holes, though, look like they have been formed with a nut pick.
