Finally Met Bob White

Took a drive to The Shooter's Corner in New Jersey yesterday to pick up some Lapua Factory ammunition that Bob White was kind enough to order for me as under the Safe Act, I was not able to have it shipped directly to me. Was nice to finally meet such an active shooter and shop owner. Lots of nice Candy to drool over in his shop. For those in the North East, this is a nice trip especially in the summer has you drive around and over Lake Hopacon to get there. It will not be my last visit to Bob's lair.

I have ordered from him over the phone and found his pricing to be more than reasonable every time.

I bought a nice varmint rifle out of that shop in 2000. He really has quite a selection of nice rifles for sale there. I like how he now has pictures of his rifles on his website.

I bought a used Hall Dual port in a scoville stock from Bob a year and half ago. Knowing it would need a new barrel. Alan made very few dual ports from what I understand. Probably 15-20 year old rig got it at a fair price. Won my first yardage with it last weekend. He has a lot of diamonds in the rough so to speak on THE LIST

And knows how to put shots through the same hole.......all day long. Bob is 3rd in Precision Shooter points (Gold Jacket), having qualified in 1983.
And not a slouch in Score Shooting either. I swear he literally "grabs a bench gun off the rack" and with it beats us Score Shooters at Bowmanstown IBS matches.

I am going to take his Shooting Clinic and will try to shoot in his local fall league.

I remember when Bob won the IBS Nationals at Fairchance PA in the early 90's.....the computer was whilrling and buzzing and we all stood there as the winners (top twenty) were being announced,,,we were saying if I am in 8th and you are in 12th and so and so is 3rd ,,all the top guns have won something who won it all,,,and they announced Bob as the big winner,,,we looked at the run down and he was 8th in one event and 12th in another and 3rd in something ,,,,,,he out averaged us all...what an acomplishment ,,,,he just humbly walked up and got the BIG trophy,,,,,he is the real thing,,,,
