Finally I get to Open a Bolt for PPC!

I know that. But your firing pin strikes will not be centered. That can ruin your SD and Harmonics. As the firing pin penentrates the primer off center, if it hits a leg of the anvil it will begin ignition earlier then if it hits between one of the legs of the anvil and will cause a lot of flyers.

Something else is wrong if this effects your firing pin strike location. If this were true all the Benchrest actions with a BR/PPC bolt face would be having problems. That are not. Carry on. :D:D

I have built several 6.5 Grendels and 7.62 x 39mm rifles using a Savage supplied bolt head. Only problem is you got to talk real nice to them.

Way off but go ahead. The next batch of cases may not even fit. When i open one its big and like my wise friend said above most are BR size anyway

Good to know. Back in Uncle Sam's canoe club, I remember the machinist's talking about using Prussian Blue for some of their work... and some of their pranks. Not a lot of call for the stuff in electrical power / control work I did, and I steered clear of the latter!
You must have heard of the old Prussian blue on the phone earpiece prank. :)
