Filling a rear bag

No heavy sand to be found, if anyone has a source please advise.
Sinclair and or Brownell's doesn't and hasn't had any in quite some time.

I ordered a Edgewood rear bag and searched for Zicon. Found some but not paying this for it

Thank you for your inquiry. Current pricing as follows:
Minimum Order 40lbs.
(40lbs.) 1/40lb. box Zircon Sand @$2.50/lb.= $100.00
Please Note: Price does not include shipping cost to your location.

I use the silica sand, I think it was in the drywall section, or with pool filtration.
Playground sand sucks to try to get dry and then get through a funnel.

Just an update on this. I needed some sand for a new bag. Bruno’s charges $40 for 20 lbs of heavy sand plus shipping. Sinclair is out of their 15 lb box for $22. Local source for silica sand in Grand Junction, CO is Colorado Concrete Accessories. 50 lbs for $18.66. I’m set for life. 70 grit sand worked great for me.IMG_4735.jpeg

This isn't about the fill but about the " after fill" of your rear bag. I keep mine on the floor/trunk of my vehicle. It helps to settle the sand and slowly stretch the bag as the car moves over the road. You may be surprised after a few weeks how much your rear bag takes shape and how much more sand is needed to get it back where it was. This isn't my original thought; it was passed on to me, I think, by Wheeler.

Regards
Rick

I put regular sand from Home Depot in my Dima rear bag, and man it’s keeping me from having to see a chiropractor at half the weight it used to be.
P.s and I think it works better too…waterline is nice and flat.
