Federal Primer Boxes

if you think cci is efficient, you should see the rws/ruag primers I got in today! prob not the safest in the event of an accidental explosion, bit its quite impressive

1 tray of cci vs rws/ruag. cci has 100, rwa/ruag has 250.
1 box of cci vs 2 box of rws/rusg. cci 1000, 2 rws/ruag 5,000.

What's stupid is that lil tab that inadvertently gets pushed up so the damn tray gets stuck.
Annoying!!
Oh, don't get me started!! That little SOB is what caused me to spill about half a box out on the floor. AND what caused me to start this thread, and consequently get branded as a petty complainer -- probably by someone who has never handled one of these abysmal abortions of manufacturing incompetence. jd

It doesn't help that they're in there sideways just waiting to roll out to parts unknown.

The fact that federal has a tab and the fact there in sideways isn’t near as irritating as the container is larger than the priming tray of a hand primer, therefore you have to open the box partway then cover about 4 primers for however many are exposed to put in your tray and no matter how careful you are you usually spill a few!… if your single priming not such a big deal.
Side note CCI use to put them sideways in a much smaller tray than they have now and each row of ten was all touching

This thread is a hoot. Cabin fever strikes deep!

It wasn't very long ago that we complained we couldn't get Federal primers. And now we don't like the box! How's 'zat work?

Many moons ago, I got recurring pinholes and radial cracks with Federal primers. It happened in rifles and magnum handguns. Always large primers, never small. So I dumped Federal. To put it in perspective, that was before the Big Box Era. Yeah, I have a long memory or some would say, I hold a grudge. I do use small pistol Federals in tuned revolvers; nothing else will fire. So maybe I'm a hypocrite. Not asking for answers to that question . . .
