So i bought a barrel off a member here. He shipped it right away. I get a text saying its delivered so i go to my porch to grab it- not there. I look at the app it shows a delivery picture- not my house nor any i recognize. I put in a missing pkg claim, get an email saying they will contact me. Next day i get an email saying case closed, it was delivered and we have a picture. No way to respond with any comments. So i put in another claim. Next day exact same thing. So i guess if they deliver it theres nothing you can do if they have a picture of a random garage. Now im out a barrel and my money.
 
Take a picture of your house with the address showing and tell them to honor the claim
get a camera or get a postal type box a a mail center.
Where I live we have these lockers for bulk packages.
I never get stuff shipped in by fedex.
 
USPS did the same thing with a scope I sold to a member here on Friday! Fortunately, the people who accidently received it were honest and put it back in their mailbox, was delivered to correct address Saturday morning, thankfully!!

The buyer went to the post office Saturday morning, spoke with a postal employee who knew where it was delivered to, but USPS had absolutely no intention of retrieving it - told him to file an insurance claim!!!

@Dusty Stevens: Good Luck!! I tried to file a claim with FedX over the summer, what a joke.....
 
These delivery companies are a carp shoot. Last week I got three packages delivere, I was expecting three packages for my wife, so as soon as I saw them on my door camera I when out and got them. After I opened them, I get a knock on the door from the delivery driver. He said I got the wrong package. I had no idea what she ordered so I had already opened them. I gave the box back but now I’m missing a box. It came later on in the day. Weird.
 
Wow, the other day I am waiting for a copy of some medical records, its after 7PM and a FedEx Truck comes down my block (short dead end block) stops three houses away
turns around and leaves.

I check my phone and package is delivered, I look at the image and its not my doorway. Walked three houses down and there is my package.

100% Assholes

Have you entered your address in any of the GPS map programs? Many are not correct to the house number level. Entering my own address identifies a house 15 away from mine! I’ve entered multiple correction requests without success…
 
Every Christmas, my FedEx guy, UPS guy, USPS guy, and Garbage Truck guy get a gift card from me. I don't even have to sign for HazMat :cool:. Assuming it lands on the right truck at the hub, I'm solid.

The Garbage Truck even backed up to my house one day when I forgot to take the cans out and still emptied them for me!

I buy enough crap and have it delivered that I see that as a form of insurance.

I use to think the same, but the one I got right now, is a class act in every way!
 
You mite have luck filing a claim with you state attorney generals office. I have done that after a state that I had not been to in 10 years keep sending letter about unpaid tolls with picture that not car and had tag from a different state than I live in three weeks later I got a we’re sorry letter from that state
 
Ordered a truck bed mat for wives truck. It showed delivery was made. It wasn't here. Called and same thing. 3 days later neighbor came to my house and a package was set standing beside a tree a mile down the road. He stop and checked it out, it had my name on it so he dropped it off to me.

Delivery service are crap storms and they cover ther @$$. Best of luck is all I can say.

UPS, seems the best. Get to know your driver and things seem to work out. FedEx, can kiss my @$$.

Like you said it's a crap shoot but here it's the opposite UPS can kiss my ass and FEDEX has been great!!

Sadly, you will never see that barrel. I had almost the same issue with Fedex about 5 years ago. The sender was able to get Fedex to tell him exactly where they delivered the package. He called me with the name and addresss of the business and, even though it was after hours, I called and left a voice message for them. The next day that business called to tell me their shipping /receiving man saw the error and they had given the package back to the Fedex driver that morning. I was assured it would be delivered that evening.
Well, three days later I cornered our Fedex delivery man about the package. He put me on the phone with his boss (all a group of contracted labor) who calmly told me that's why they offer insurance.
Oh, I did get a $100 refund from the seller.

My Step-dad always gave the garbage truck guys a quart of Jim Beam for Christmas. Our cans were the best looking on the block and placed upright. All the other cans were dented.
