Fed 205M primers

Anyone who has been in the game for 5 yrs or more and gets caught short, not to smart. If you don't keep one to two years ahead you will get bit.

I agree with you on this. I have only been reloading for about 5 years. I quickly learned that when times are plentiful there is nothing wrong with stocking up. I have enough primers and powder to last me about 2 years. I can wait until the supply comes back to normal inventory levels. When it does, i will buy more but not when others are scrambling just to get primers for the next match.

Agree. Gouging is when there is supply and the price is raised artificially. Right now there is nothing in stock and there is nothing available, so the price of what individuals have is going at a market price. No one is being forced to buy them. Someone is WILLING to pay for them....

I know... I paid 140 per 1k of fed205gm

Not $1000, but still, ouch.

I got an ad in the classifieds trying to trade small rifle stuff and it's not going anywhere.Got to be local.

Wouldn’t some sort of AR ban/slow down actually mean less shooting and less demand for components? Would take some time tho for fear to slow down also

I've actually had luck finding stuff at small shops recently.

I'm not a hoarder. But decided to build my first precision rifle....well this is a bad time to not own ANY small rifle primers.

I found 3 bricks at a little shop. The guy would only sell me 2. Had Varget too. Would only sell me 2 pounds. I'd like another brick or 2 of primers and I'd like to get my paws on a bit of Varget as I feed several rifles with it.

Worth a drive around to the small shops though. Wouldn't surprise me if I find all I need tomorrow.
When they limit the amount i can purchase, i just put on my disguise and go right back in and buy more. They can't outsmart me !! The salesman usually says , you look very familiar ma'am !!

Shipping...yes. I've looked at a few and listings and shipping is usually listed as an additional 20-25$ but doesn't mention hazmat...

Right before this really kicked in, I bought some 450s on GB. I didn't ask questions. Far as I'm concerned, he's responsible for legally shipping it. And going through GB, if it doesn't show, it's likely on him. Wether or not that's how it goes, I don't know. They arrived safe and sound.

You'd imagine that there's gotta be scans for explosives all through the shipping process that would alert on primers and powder....maybe I think too highly of our capabilities. Lol.

I know the last hazmat package I ordered wasn't signed for because I was literally sitting on the couch waiting for it. I thought that was interesting. It was a decent sized order. The guy probably wanted it the heck out of his truck and possession. I was kinda surprised at how much labeling was on the box. Again.. probably giving too much credit to our technologies and such. You'd think know it's hazmat and class via electronic scanning and maybe a "coded" sticker or something. No...it was plastered "hazmat" "dangerous" "explosives" etc etc lol.

It's not gouging when you start off the auction at 20 bucks and it ends up at 500+. Nobody stuck a gun to anyone's head and made them bid on it. Good for the seller, he made a killing.
i agree with that- especially since its not a necessity.

I don't think there is a signature requirement for hazmat. The seller selects the option to require a signature or not.

I saw signature required somewhere...maybe as I was tracking the shipment. I'm sure if I wasn't home they wouldn't have left it and it's a royal pain for me to get packages when that happens

My LGS has a couple bricks of GGM 205 and a couple GGM210
lots of Winchester.
I did not buy them out , was I dumb not to?
Not saying your dumb, but you really should pick em up for a rainy day.

Brownell’s had the 5000 count show up to add to cart last night. I don’t know if I caught it toward the last or what, but all it would do for me was pull up a error page and tell me to go back to their homepage. I hope someone got some, but this may be a tough deal.
