@urbanrifleman, have you found much difference when using different lots of AR-Comp.
Try some 90gr berger bt's from that 8 twist. They shoot very well and tune easily. While i'm waiting on the 12 twist barrels I have been playing with my 6 BR in 8 twist with a factory 30 inch barrel. To my surprise I can get 60gr Sierra "Varminter" bullets to the lands and those little buggers are shooting awesome out of the 8 twist. I'm jumping them .015 and loading them over 32.3gr of H4895 and shot a .375 3 shot group at 300yds. last thursday. I going to make up some more and see if it holds up. Have also been playing with Berger 88gr high BC flat base bullets but having weird issues with finding a seating depth on them? Tried Berger's test and it appears that they grouped the best at .110 off the lands! Everybody says jam them but those actually shot the worst groups?
Not wanting to try any boat tail bullets in this rifle. Strictly wanting flat base for short range work and I'm having awesome results with...Try some 90gr berger bt's from that 8 twist. They shoot very well and tune easily.

Sierra "Varminter" flat base 60gr
Berger Target flat base 68gr
Berger Varmint flat base 80gr
Best powders so far have been H4895, Varget and H335 (looking to try VV N135)
Currently waiting on some custom 12 twist barrel being made with 0 freebore for the 55gr and 60gr bullets. Also having a standard freebore barrel made in 12 twist for the 80gr and 88gr bullets.
I agree and for the last 3 years or better I have been fighting my 6 BR's trying to get "long range" (103gr or better) to shoot at short range and group tiny with no success to brag about. I even spoke with the people at Sierra and even they said those are not the best option because the 107gr match king dont "lay flat" until about 300 yards. I have been told both ways but from what I have been shooting here lately I'm starting to believe them. Just recently I shot my best group ever at 300 yards, a .375 with Sierra's 60gr Varminter flat base out of my 30 inch 8 twist. Going tomorrow to see if I can back it up with more that 3 shots. I'm having a blast shooting them light weights at blistering speeds and so far they seem consistent.Ok.
8208 has been very good for me with the 80's. I haven't seen any down side of a 12 twist vs a 14. Maybe I just can't shoot the difference but it's not apparent to me. I believe the logic of using the slowest twist possible is to minimize the affect of bullet inconsistencies. The down side to that is you leave some bc on the table. A little faster twist will yield a bit better bc from the same bullet. The trick, IMO, is figuring out which is of most significance. So, even with lighter bullets, I can't see a difference on target and I have the ability to step up to the 80's if it's throated so that I can use either/or.. I'm not changing.

H4895 with Federal 205 standard primer. My loads 32.3 and 32.5 are with NORMA brass! This is important because the Norma is less capacity than LapuaWhat powder are you using with that Sierra 60 gr varminter flat base bullet?
I will have a new 24 inch 12 twist this weekend to play with and the VV N135 is on my list of things to buy. Read a lot of great things about that powder for the 6BR and light weight bullets.14 twist. 65 gr. Berger bt, VV135 & Fed. 205m
