I never use factory loads. But, my son and grandkids in Idaho have great luck with Federal Fusion. Grandkids have all multiple kills of mule deer and elk, all one shot kills with .243 100gr Federal Fusion factory.

Whatever shoots good honestly. There's a ton of good loads out there, and to be honest, for years not many people shot anything but a Core-Lokt. I believe federal does have some loads worked up with Barnes TSX which is an outstanding bullet if the gun likes it. As mentioned above, Hornady puts out some good loads too. I like the SST's and the GMX but cannot speak to the ELD loads. Best of luck and happy hunting!

You don't mention caliber, but any of the Remington Core Lokt or the newer Hornady GMX's can be found and work in most every caliber used for deer hunting.

As long as it is a hunting bullet! There are people out there that only go by accuracy and will shoot a game animal with what has been designed as a target bullet and wonder why it doesn't go down imediately, many times the game animal gets away and the hunter never recovers it
