Gary have you tried the 69gr. STMK in your 8 twist Tikka 22-250 I use them in my 8 twist .223 Tikka t3x and they preform really well.I’ve used quite a few over the years but here are a few regulars that I’m using now. A pic is worth a thousand words LOL

I have not tried those yet but they are definitely on the radar when I can find some.Gary have you tried the 69gr. STMK in your 8 twist Tikka 22-250 I use them in my 8 twist .223 Tikka t3x and they preform really well.

Thinking about putting a new barrel on an older 22-250 in 9 twist to shoot the tipped 69 Sierra.Might be cheaper to just get a Tikka.Love the wood on your Coopers Gary, thanks for posting them up.I have not tried those yet but they are definitely on the radar when I can find some.
I am working with the 75 grain Amax now, trying to perfect a load to try this summer on the ground hogs.
Gary
I got the Tikka because of the 8 twist and the ability to shoot the heavier bullets. Before I started on the heavier bullets, I decided to try the 65 grain Sierras, they shot really well so I loaded some up and went hunting. Then I tried the 55 grain Blitz Kings and they shot even better, so I’ve been shooting those. It took me a little longer to master shooting the light weight Tikka but it’s been real accurate for such a light weight hunting rifle. You won’t be disappointed if you try one.Thinking about putting a new barrel on an older 22-250 in 9 twist to shoot the tipped 69 Sierra.Might be cheaper to just get a Tikka.Love the wood on your Coopers Gary, thanks for posting them up.

He was actually about 20 yards away when I shot him against the tree line, but I thought that pile of logs made a good photo op.![]()
