Fastest bolt action shooter.

Not directly STR = Scandinavian Target Rifle.
Sold in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
It's the same rifle as the 200 Target Rifle version with a different barrel.
But it is the same rifle action, mags and barrels that is used in the Sig SSG 3000 too.
The main difference is in the wood stock, which is not all that different from the original black wood stock that came with the SSG.

There's also Sig front/rear sight, mirage band coming along with it.

And most likely these guys are using the optional 0.5 kg trigger unit. As these rifles are supplied with a adjustable 1.5 kg trigger unit as standard.

And those barrels are not original.
Sauer, Schultz Larsen,Heym, Blaser and Walter delivers pre chamered barrels for the 200/3000 rifles in 308 and 6,5x55.

So while it is not directly available in most countries. The SSG 3000 is sold pretty much everywhere if one really wants one.
And 6 k$ is outrageous. A 200 STR sells for less then 2000$ where it is commonly available.
I just watched a 6.5x55 video w this rifle. very impressive. Does any one shoot one or have experience with one? Looks like a very nice piece of equipment!

Very few imported here, the sig ssg3000 is the same rifle just different stocks here and only 308w unless a custom barrel is installed

That's some fast shooting. Imagine what he could do with more than those 5 round magazines. The video is amazing to watch.

Think you can shoot fast with a bolt gun? Bet you can’t beat these Norwegian speed-demons. Last year, Inge Hvitås recently set a new Mad Minute World Record, putting 39 rounds inside a 16″ circle at 200 meters, all in a single minute. Another Norwegian ace fired 48 rounds in a minute, with 38 in the bullseye.
He didn't even shoulder the rifle. What's up with that? At least he is shooting without a rest or bipod. If he would have been using a bipod or rest, it would have been "click" (off goes the video, immediately). Why would one shoot while angry, even for only one minute?

My first target rifle...around 1998. It was imported by the "Paul Company". .308 and .22 rimfire. Two barrels, two bolts two magazines. I never shot the .308 much, but the rimfire setup was very accurate. A doctor somewhere in New York now owns it.

Gerry, sounds like you were an early user of this firearm,,,the sauer target rifle? interesting that it was centerfire and 22RF.

They make a 22lr bolt, magazine and barrel combo, they also have a swt up for 223 but that is rare even in the Scandinavian counties

If i had a 22lr kit for my ssg3000 I would be keeping it

Yeah, it was TR200 then. The rimfire receiver was an integral part of the rimfire barrel...fit in side the main receiver sorta like a sleeved receiver, and the bolt was the diameter of the main receiver (.308) in the back, then tapered to the inside diameter of the .22 receiver... cool design. Rifle photo is from my for sale ad (2010?), with the rimfire set-up. Bolt diagram is from something I found online. I also had one of the earliest Nightforce 12-42 scopes.

Those Sauers are pretty slick! I wonder how fast he can run an SMLE? :D
The Brits who wrote WWII memoirs to a man loved and cherished their SMLEs. The best such memoir in the opinion of many is Quartered Safe Out Here by George MacDonald Fraser of Flashman fame.

…and bouncing bullets off the “Grassy Knoll”!
no bullets bouncing off the grassy knoll shots fired were reported from there and before the pictures disappeared, you could see smoke, not dust kicked up from the knoll, you forget the magic bullet too the one that changed direction three times and then they found it on the gurney in a hallway at park memorial later that day, perfect not deformed at all.

Should have put my comment in “Purple Font”.

I wish I could remember where I saw it, but I can't. It was an interview with someone employed by one of our government agencies. One thing he intelligently discussed was being tasked with loading pulled 6.5 Carcano bullets in 264 Win Mag cases.
