Fast twist 22cal bolt rifle

I'm missing a fast twist 22 cal bolt rifle in my safe. The use would be a fun toy for medium/long range paper/steel at the range and in the hills. I'm sitting on a few thousand 77gr bullets. I bought a heavy 8 twist krieger blank on the forums. I have two "donors" I have in mind. The first is a custom Rem 700 in 308 that I just don't shoot much as I have a few 308s and the cartridge just doesn't do much for me anymore. I'm considering a 22-250 or 22-250AI chambering if I chose this rifle.

The second is a 70s or 80s benchrest 222 on a 6-digit Rem 700 that I dropped into an AICS as my "trainer". Super accurate with 52 nosler custom comp 2nds, a lot of cheap fun with zero recoil. I'm considering a 223 or 223 AI with this new barrel.

I'm looking for input as to what cartridge people would go with and also a smith to complete the project who people have had good luck with. And any other tips/suggestions for this project.

why restrict your self? have either or both set up as switch barrel rigs and as long as you keep track of what goes where bolts can be switched also . no big deal to change barrels.

My plan IS to have the rifle be a switch barrel setup. I'm just asking opinions on which cartridge you would choose, 223/223ai, 22/250 or ai, or something else? I'll obviously have the original barrel still available for the 'donor' rifle.

I'd like it to function as a repeater

22-250AI or 22x47L

I have a straight 22-250. Works great with 80 grain bullets. Problem: anything more than 6 rounds in an AICS mag it goes bat shit crazy in the mag. I am going to go 22-250AI since I have a huge pile of brass for the 22-250, it will run 10 in a mag. I run Lapua brass and will just fire form, it will be less work than the 22x47 as there is no brass prep needed. I dont want to have brass confusion as I have a 6x47L also. I need to order a reamer, then I can get Whidden rolling on a set of full length 22-250AI dies. The longer neck of the 22x47 does appeal to me, I have also wondered about attempting to form 22x47 from 22-250 brass, I think with the not so steep shoulder taper on the 47 it may feed more reliably. I just dont know if the body of the 22-250 brass can be tightened enough near the base to work. I have had thoughts of trying a piece of 22-250 through my 6x47 non bushing die and see what happens. If that would work, I may just buy 22-250 brass and reform so there is no possibility of confusion from the 6x47.
